Bravo! Nice work!

Our first family cat (she showed up pregnant, of course, that’s where the rest of the family cats came from) used to get her jollies ambushing wandering dogs (this was out in the boonies), and she wasn’t a big cat. One time she was napping in the grass in the shade of an ash tree near the house, woke up and spotted a freakin’ great dane that our kinda useless neighbors used to have, and she ran up into the tree (this all happened as my dad watched, he was probably working on a car at the time). The dog came bounding up the driveway, and just as he got under the nearest branch, this angry mass of black and white sprang down out of the leaves, perfect aim, landed on the dog’s back, all claws, he yelped, did a sort of wheelie, turned and ran for home (about a quarter mile through the brush). The cat got knocked off in the hail of sapling branches and whatnot, but she didn’t even look back to check to see if the dog had come back for more, she just came walking back across the road, up the lawn, and went back to her nap. What a cat she was.

Thanks lowbridge.

What a great cat story!! My family had a very petite Siamese cat who was as gentle as a lamb (if a little annoyed) with us kids even when we affectionately mauled her. But in much the same way as your wonderful cat, she attacked and ran off a large dog as well as a goat (!!!) that threatened her and hers. Would never believe that such a tiny, sweet little thing could be so efficiently savage.

I love that your cat didn't even look back when it came back to finish its nap! {^)
