I hope it results in some good amendments. However I do not trust democrats and democrat (liberal) justices on SCOTUS to adhere to the constitution. For crying out loud those 4 liberals on SCOTUS are always unanimous in opposing conservative cases. And SCOTUS is the final authority on declaring any unconstitutional question.
Until republicans start winning White House and congressional majorities, and nominate conservative justices, it is just an exercise in futility.
Elections have consequences. Without unity, republicans are destined to be minority party for another 90% of the time in future. One more liberal justice will finish off all conservative cases coming before the SCOTUS.
Structural amendments, such as repeal of the 17th, term limits, state power to repeal statutes and overturn Scotus decisions, cannot be ignored.
