Houston METRO police need your help apprehending a man who is punching people on a rail platform.
According to surveillance video, a man walked up to a passenger who had just exited a train onto the platform at Main Street near Preston downtown and punched him in the face.
The video then shows the same man punching another man as he gets onto the train from the same platform.
METRO Police Chief Victor Rodriguez says he doesn’t think the attacks are related to the so-called “knockout game.”
“A review of the tape does not indicate that anybody else is involved,” Rodriguez said. “And, therefore, in the knockout game, you typically do that in front of an audience or in front of somebody who’s at least taping it.”
Despite these events, Rodriguez says Houston has one of the safest rail systems in the country.
If you know anything about these assaults, contact police.

The poLIcE deny that there IS a knockout game then proclaim that there is some kind of handbook of RULES for the knockout game.

Yep, no doubt. I recall a few months ago, seeing on video, not sure if it was surveillance video, or cell phone video, but some dip stick tried to punch out a female. She fought back, and when the guy was on the ground, her male friend just drop kicked that POS right in the head. It is a wonder he survived a kick to the head like that, but I thought it was karma.
Perhaps this is someone’s “practice training” for the knockout game.
Does it at least register as a “hate crime” on the LBGT mayor’s list of human rights abuses in Houston? She’s working on some kind of tranny protection act while letting things like this get swept under the rug. She didn’t give a damn when two hispanic yutes pulled a gun on me and called me nigger repeatedly either.
Houston’s “light rail” doesn’t have a third rail, it has the street car wiring above the train.

Aren't there security cameras at the stations? I know that the trains themselves are equipped with cameras. ODD that footage of the perp is being suppressed.
That's because Tom DeLay was fighting against federal funding of Houston's boondoggle rail system (it's one of the reasons the local Rats sought to take him out of office by any means necessary).

I think there are, but I don't think it is odd at all, to suppress this stuff. I am not much into conspiracy theories, but in this case, I believe there IS a conspiracy by many, to suppress the knockout game thing.
Click the newslink, a couple of pics clear as day. Young black male, 25 - 30 years, about 185 lbs in the five-ten to six foot tall range. Depending on the sales volume of “Stop Snitchin’” t-shirts in that town, he should be id’d fairly soon.

That’s where I get on to go home everyday (unless they’re talking about the northbound platform, though the northbound “Preston” platform is a block up from Preston). I did see an evidently homeless guy walk past on the sidewalk last week, angrily babbling something while I was waiting for the train. Might be a likely candidate.
Okay. That’ not the Preston station. Main Street Square is several blocks south, not “near Preston.”
I was going to say, doing this in Texas seems like a quick way to die.
Just got to where I could look at the actual news report, so it apparently was the southbound Preston station, where I get on after work. Didn’t look like it in the still photos. All of the downtown platforms are on Main, with one called Main Street Square, so the description in the text story was misleading. In the morning I get off at Main Street Square, and when I got off a few minutes ago, there seemed to be an enhanced presence of regular cops, not just the Metro Police who occasionally check for tickets and fare cards.
The suspect, by the way, doesn’t look like the guy I saw last week. The guy I saw was older and shakier.

Well, if he threw a punch, he must have at least one arm. So that narrows it down even further.
