“Hi.”
“Yeah, I guess I am.”
The driver allegedly responded: Why, yes, I am, officer.
The officer asked, "Do you know how fast you were going?"
"35?" the driver replied in a questioning tone.
"NO", said the officer ..."EIGHT!"
“I just want to blow through stop signs and smoke pot and not bother nobody.” /libertarian mode off
Well, at least he didn’t say, “dude.”
Back 25 plus years ago, when cops still had a sense of humor. My friend got pulled over. Noticing the glass in the cup holder. The guy asked what was in the glass. Friend said Jack and Coke. Cop gave him a look, (like very funny) and said slow down. We did not get a ticket and there really was Jack and Coke in the glass.
Good thing strawmen don’t hit back.
Read the same joke in National Lampoon in 1975 only is was LSD and the speed was 6 MPH.
Well, at least he wasn’t a liar. That would have been wrong.
dude!
I used to work with a guy who if you said “hi” to him, he would respond with “wish I was.”
the correct response to “do you know how fast you were going?” is
“no, the question is do you know how fast i was going?”
When I lived in Michigan someone once walked across the bridge from Canada and when asked “Do you have anything to declare?” answered “Why, yes, this bag of pot.” Made all the local news that day.
I thought MJ was supposed to make you paranoid?
Johnny Carson: He was so stoned he thought he was in Colorado.
Tommy Boy did the same on nitrous oxide.
No, it doesn't. It DOESN'T! Why are you saying that? Did They tell you to say that? ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?!??
Ahem. Sorry. 70s flashback. I'll be fine.
Ooooh...lookit all them glowing purple spiders...
Those were the days, right?
I can remember when open container laws were unheard of and it was not illegal to drink and drive. My Dad did it all the time. Of course, it was always (as far as I can recall) illegal to drive while you were drunk. This was in Georgia in the late fifties early 60s.
Back then, police were on better terms with “civilians.” And, vice versa.
In this case, seems like the driver was not charged with possession of any pot.
Yep, even drunk driving wasn’t a federal case unless you ran into something.
