The Maine Secession Movement is now actively inviting

The Maine Secession Movement is now actively inviting Born Again Christians to move to Maine from other states.

As the secession vote on June 12, 2018 moves ever closer, the Maine secession Movement is now actively encouraging Born Again Christian families in other states to put their property and business up for sale and move to Maine. This is being done in advance of the next release of the proposed Constitution for the Republic of Maine which will take effect immediately upon a successful vote for secession on June 12, 2018. This next release will include a section detailing how the entire border of Maine with both Canada and the United States, must be secured by Militia members and their families, resulting in nearly every square foot of land on the border being deeded over to members of the Militia who will live on the border, these parcels will range in size between 500 acres and 1500 areas.

A second reason is that we believe that as more and more, who will vote for secession, will move into Maine while more and more, who oppose secession, will start selling out and moving to other states where big government will remain. As an example, since education is reserved to the family first and then the local community with the State and the Counties explicitly denied any roll in education, we would expect that many NEA members will leave, all of the MEA staff will have no roll and will need to either leave or find gainful emplyment. Since welfare is non existent and is explicitly denied to any and all governments, but reserved to the churches and societies, we can think of no reason anyone currently on welfare will want to stay in Maine nor will there be any state positions for anyone now working in any of the welfare offices or bureaus.

To help Born Again Christians make their decision, below is the parts of the proposed Constitution that are now done. For additional information or help in locating property in Maine, please email freemaine at hushmail.com with "relocation" in the subject line.

Proposed Constitution of the Republic of Maine

PREAMBLE. We the people of the Republic of Maine, in order to establish justice, insure tranquility, provide for our mutual defense, promote our common welfare, and secure to ourselves and our posterity the blessings of liberty, acknowledging with grateful hearts the goodness of the Sovereign Ruler of the Universe in affording us an opportunity, so favorable to the design; and, imploring God's aid and direction in its accomplishment, do this twelfth day of June, in the year of our Lord 2018, by majority of the people voting do agree to form ourselves from henceforth into a free and independent Christian Nation, by the style and title of the Republic of Maine and do ordain and establish the following Constitution for the government of the same.

Article I. Declaration of Rights.

Section 1. Natural rights. All people are born equally free and independent, and have certain natural, inherent and unalienable rights, among which are those of enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing and protecting property, and of pursuing and obtaining safety and happiness.

Section 2. Power inherent in people. All power is inherent in the people; all free governments are founded in their authority and instituted for their benefit; they have therefore an unalienable and indefeasible right to institute government, and to alter, reform, or totally change the same, when their safety and happiness require it.

Section 3. Religious freedom; all Christian sects are equal; religious tests prohibited; religious teachers. All individuals have a natural and unalienable right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences, and no person shall be hurt, molested or restrained in that person's liberty or estate for worshiping God in the manner and season most agreeable to the dictates of that person's own conscience, nor for that person's religious professions or sentiments, provided that, that person does not disturb the public peace, nor obstruct others in their religious worship; all persons demeaning themselves peaceably, as good members of the State, shall be equally under the protection of the laws, and no subordination nor preference of any one Christian sect or Christian denomination to another shall ever be established by law, nor shall any religious test be required as a qualification for any office or trust, under this State; and all religious societies in this State, whether incorporated or unincorporated, shall at all times have the exclusive right of electing their public teachers, and contracting with them for their support and maintenance. Christian leaders, pastors and teachers are encouraged to keep their charges, congregations, students, etc informed of what the government is doing from the pulpit, in private and public conversations, debates or conversation in general. No law is to be passed that limits the rights of Christian participation, leadership, or criticism of the government of Maine, the counties, or the local municipalities. All public meetings are to open with the Lords prayer and close with a Christian benediction thanking the Lord for the preceding and imploring His safety for all leaving the meeting.

Section 3a. Business closed on Sunday. Since it would not be possible for the Republic of Maine to secede and be free without the will and Divine help of the Lord God of Creation, and since the Lord God of Creation clearly states that in six days He created the heavens and the earth and all that is them and on them, and that He rested on the seventh day, the people of the Republic of Maine shall, as a Christian nation, in deep and abiding gratitude to God Almighty, the Trinity, the Creator, allow no businesses any where within the borders of the Republic of Maine, other than those exempted in section 3b, to open on the Sundays from midnight to midnight.

Section 3b. Businesses exempt from Section 3a. Since God in the form of the Lord Jesus, did on numerous occasions in the New Testament, heal on the Sabbath day, we therefore declare that those businesses that are necessary for human life, such as hospitals, pharmacies, and doctors offices may be open on Sundays, but only to offer services and products necessary for human life, products that could not wait till Monday. The Legislature, shall after notifying and consulting with Christian pastors, determine a list of businesses that shall be allowed to open on Sunday in a strictly voluntary manner. No public celebrations, games, or parties shall be allowed on the Sabbath and may not be exempted.

Section 4. Freedom of speech and publication; libel; truth given in evidence; jury determines law and fact. Every citizen may freely speak, write and publish sentiments on any subject, being responsible for the abuse of this liberty; no laws shall be passed regulating or restraining the freedom of the press; and in prosecutions for any publication respecting the official conduct of people in public capacity, or the qualifications of those who are candidates for the suffrages of the people, or where the matter published is proper for public information, the truth thereof may be given in evidence, and in all indictments for libels, the jury, after having received the direction of the court, shall have a right to determine, at their discretion, the law and the fact.

Section 5. Unreasonable searches prohibited. The people shall be secure in their persons, houses, papers and possessions from all unreasonable searches and seizures; and no warrant to search any place, or seize any person or thing, shall issue without a special designation of the place to be searched, and the person or thing to be seized, nor without probable cause -- supported by oath or affirmation.

Section 6. The Militia and the standing army of 1,000. So as to insure and guarantee the rights guaranteed in this Constitution, every natural born male in the Republic of Maine, upon reaching the age of 18 years from conception through age 67 years from conception, has, as a member of the Militia, the obligation to keep and bear arms for the common defense, for his and his families protection, to defend against this government or any government in the future from becoming oppressive, tyrannical, or in any other way obnoxious to freedom, and to secure the rights written in this Constitution. This obligation shall never be questioned. No law shall be passed that restricts this obligation, except for time in a local jail, county jail or Maine Republic prison. No law shall be passed, test given, or fee assessed to any citizen of the Republic of Maine that would restrict in any way that citizens right to be armed either concealed or open. Males who are found to be or confess to being homosexuals are exempted from serving in either the Militia or the standing army. Males over the age of 65 may be voluntary members of the militia with the full rights of Militia members. Natural born males between the age of 16 years from conception to 18 years from conception may volunteer for militia service with the written permission of parents or guardians. The standing army of 1,000 shall be drawn from the militia by the commander of the Militia and is under the command of the commander of the militia who is appointed by and reports directly to the President.

Section 7. All human life is precious and a gift from God. Age is counted from the moment life begins, which is at the moment of conception and as such, all human life is protected from conception to death and has the full rights of this Constitution from conception. Any citizen of the Republic of Maine may use what ever force he or she deems necessary to protect human life. All abortions are considered first degree premeditated murder, children are entrusted, by God the Creator to that child's parents and as such are the responsibility of the parents, not the state, no level of Government whether local, county or Republic is to, in any way, over rule a parent in the rearing, educating, and/or influencing that child in any way.

Section 7a. Education. All education is left to the local community, to the parents first and foremost and then to the city, town or community in which the family resides. The counties and the Republic are explicitly denied any role in a child's education with the exception of Militia members while on duty and prisoners while in the care of the county jail or prison of the Republic. The first and foremost responsibility to teach a child Religion, obedience, patriotism, loyalty, righteousness, and to be a productive member of society rest squarely upon the shoulders of the parent(s), the local communities role is to support and reinforce that parental responsibility.

Section 8. Land use ordinances.

Your post makes the common assumption among the religiously illiterate that one religion is the same as any other. Simply not true. Islam’s goals and values are in direct opposition to Christianity’s goals and values. Therefore a community voluntarily living under a set of generally agreed-upon values is not any kind of version of the Taliban, which relies on coercion, force and violence to achieve outward compliance.

No public celebrations, games, or parties shall be allowed on the Sabbath and may not be exempted.

My particular "denomination" has a tradition of public celebrations on the Lord's Day, usually involving food as well as drink and even music. Will these traditions be permitted to continue out-of-doors as they have been for centuries in this new Republic of Maine?

sharia rather than anything resembling freedom or democracy.

And further: popular democracy was soundly rejected by the U.S. Founders as an outright evil, as we are seeing today with the rise of media-generated populism.

"A pastor deciding not only which religion, but which denominations of one particular religion qualify is opposed to at least the first 3 sections or the proposal. This proposal sounds like a Christian version of the Taliban enacting sharia rather than anything resembling freedom or democracy."

We have no intentions of ever being a democracy we will be a a Republic.

"There is no purpose in discussing whether ME will secede. It cannot as a matter of Constitutional law, and it will not even try to. "

You are wrong. But, if you think you are right, Show me that Constitutional Law.

Unitarians aren’t Christians. They may say they are, but universalism isn’t a possible thing. Salvation is individual, as the Bible clearly indicates.

"Will the militia be enforcing religion?"

No, the militia is the first and last defense of the Republic, it is not the police.

Already just about done, we are working on getting rid of the rest. We have no need for them.

US Constitution VI.2

Any act of secession is subject to federal review, by definition.

Sorry.

By the way, when was this date of June 12, 2018 decided? And by whom?

Is casting aspersions on someone's supposed place of origin an argument?

Is that the best you can do to explain and defend your questionable project?

“Your post makes the common assumption among the religiously illiterate that one religion is the same as any other.”

No. It states that a government enforcing particular religious dogma from selective sects of one religion through armed militias are diametrically opposed to the concepts of freedom and liberty regardless of how benevolent or doctrinally sound you find that theocracy to be.

“Islam’s goals and values are in direct opposition to Christianity’s goals and values.”

And this proposal by Christians is in direct opposition to liberty and personal freedom. Concepts I personally value.

“Therefore a community voluntarily living under a set of generally agreed-upon values is not any kind of version of the Taliban, which relies on coercion, force and violence to achieve outward compliance.”

Have you not read the initial post? Pay attention to the armed militia part.

LOL

You aren’t doing squat. The feds are closing them down.

Naval Air Station Brunswick was the last military airfield under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense that was still operating in the northeastern part of the United States of America. The installation was entirely closed on May, 31-st, 2011. Its activity was ceased during the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) commission. Its importance was not convincing enough for the officials who decided to slowly shut it down. The process began immediately after the commission took the decision, with the final closure in 2011. The base was located in the southwestern side of Maine, close to the city with the same name. It was the second most important employer in the state. There were close to 5,000 employees on site, counting both military troops and civilian personnel. The installation supported the local economy with almost $200 millions on a yearly basis.

Naval Shipyard Portsmouth is still operational.

Naval Shipyard Portsmouth is a military shipyard belonging to the United States Navy and located between two states – New Hampshire and Maine. It is one of the oldest facilities operated by the US Navy and is often confused with a similar base in Portsmouth, but in Virginia. The base spreads over 54 acres and is led by L. Bryant Fuller. Although it is named after a nearby city, it is actually located in Kittery.

In 2005, NS Portsmouth was supposed to be closed. It was marked by the Base Realignment and Closure commission for closure. The employees led a campaign to convince the commission keeps the installation alive and they succeeded.

There are some unitarian sects that aren’t universalist, but let’s not digress. Here’s another test case. Do Roman Catholic churches have the same freedom as Protestant churches in the Maine republic?

What I am saying is that age cannot be determined with a precision of one day if it is based upon conception. The best that can be done is about one week. I understand the desire to protect the pre-born child from abortion, but there are better (and far less complicated and ambiguous) ways to do it.
