Its the graffiti of the grief-stricken.
Bereaved friends and family members are scratching personalized messages into the 152 bronze panels that list victims at the 9/11 Memorial Museum, sources told The Post.
While Port Authority police are compelled to file reports on the illegal scratchiti, no arrests have been made, and pursuing the mournful misdemeanors is not a high priority, sources said.

Now we know one reason for $24 charge for non family members... Do they ask for id for free admission to museum?

The whole thing is ridiculous.
This is why we cannot have nice things.
Can you imagine the conflict a cop would feel about having to bust someone for leaving a personal message to honor a dead relative who was murdered at Ground Zero?
no, I imagine them 1.) either beating the perp to a bloody pulp for saying "this was my husband - eff off" or 2.) following them home to shoot their dog....then high fiving each other
Wow. I haven’t heard about this at all.
Why is that muzzie abomination on top of the World Trade Center? When will it be removed?
You probably should read the article....I would do the same
Focking animals.
Can anyone find this antenna any where else. Or was this designed for us?
The plan - up until 2012 - was to cover the antenna spire with a sleek radome. At 408 foot high - 40 stories! - the spire is a major architectural fature in and of itself.
However, The Durst Organization, which oversees the WTC construction, decided to save $20 million or so by doing a last-second ditch of the spire. They got the Port Authority to agree, and so we're left with the mess we have now. You can read about it here.
Perhaps at some point in the future the radome can be added back to the design. It will probably be much harder to add after-the-fact, especially since the antenna will be in operation, and thus cause hardship to shut down for construction.
LOL! Just like me, I grew up in Queens and finally moved 2 years ago, best thing I ever did. NYC is like the vortex for every psycho liberal in the world, they all have to move there, so I finally had enough. They want to live under Despots, under communism, have their money seized, have their rights trashed, then be my guest but I’m outta there. I heard robberies are going through the roof now because the Marxist they elected has pretty much tied the hands of the cops. Ha ha ha I love it!
