And why is this psychopath working so hard to support Syrian islamists?

Because he's talking in code. Once you finally see that the Administration has already made the decisions (and the GOPe is in on it) to neutralize American Christian Constitutional conservatives and anybody that looks like one, then what is happening now and in recent years in our Nation is easier to understand.
