Despite being soundly rejected a few years ago, cap-and-trade will soon get its U.S. encore — but not in Congress. The Obama administration will likely use its executive power to unilaterally impose carbon dioxide emissions trading systems.
The plan is being sold as a “flexible” one. By allowing states a menu of policy options to meet federal mandates, the standards will ostensibly meet the unique needs of each individual state. But the stark reality behind the proposal is that it will be a boon for states that have already imposed cap-and-trade systems — which are overwhelmingly Democratic states.
“While President Obama continues to pedal around his climate agenda in the hopes of solidifying a presidential legacy, concerns about how American businesses and consumers will actually meet these costly rules have been met with only silence,” said Laura Sheehan, spokeswoman for the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electrcity.
“Given the current path we’re on, the administration is gambling with the livelihoods of hardworking Americans and is threatening to tip our country over the edge in costly and unreliable energy policies,” Sheehan said. “And once we go over that ledge, there’s no coming back up.”

Point well taken, but the salient issue is that no agency can tax. Only the congress and then, only the House can initiate a law to generate revenue. None of this will pass constitutional muster.
He thinks we deserve torture to pay for the sins of this nation.

I’ve done all I can to educate my kids. I will rationally discuss this with anyone that cares to listen. That is my contribution. I have, God willing, roughly a generation left here.

Last winter I only heated the bedroom and the master bath. I used to cool the living room and bedroom. I’m moving my work stuff into the bedroom and cooling only that. With my older poorly insulated home heating and cooling could be $400 a month or more. It could be much less, but the lefties put a measure on the ballot and passed it which prevented the local power plant from investing in a new coal fired facility that would be built regardless. But if we’d invested in it our costs would have been substantially less.
The fact that this administration first tries to jam things through Congress shows that they know it’s Congress’s role. They can’t validly claim it’s legitimate executive action on any grounds.
And the Smart Meters they forced on us will soon be used to dole out our allottment of electricity. We’ll have to install stationary bikes to generate our own electricity.
Its hard not to feel hopeless or helpless.
Yet that doesn’t stop them.

The EPA needs to be totally dismantled, yet no one even tries. The regulatory agencies, like the EPA, are being used to impose a dictatorship on the US and to destroy its wealth and independence of its people. This is a war and the Left will be walking on our bones because we let the country fall to its internal enemies.

Perhaps some state governor will stand tall and refuse to comply. Paging Governor Walker, Governor Perry, Governor Christie, Governor Scott, Governor Fallin, Governor Jindal, Governor McCrory, Governor Brewer. Will any of you answer the call?
