Ah man!

Saw the races there in 1997.

Never could get into car racing but, the rumbling of those engines and the cars whizzing by!

That was Kewel!!!

I got a 306 score. I have a ton of B and C to pull me out.

The A drivers I don’t really worry about. Just put a top qualifier and a top winner together.

I will use Burton this week FYI.

Throwing darts at the league roster to make my picks was a bad idea. Trying the pin the tail on the driver this week...

Notes: While teams in all three NASCAR series will run the same right-side tire code (D-4440) at Dover this week, those in Sprint Cup will run a different left-side code (D-4556) than those in Nationwide and Camping World Truck . . . in Sprint Cup, this is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that has been run at Dover since 2012 . . . these teams also ran this same tire set-up at Kentucky in 2013 . . . Goodyear held a confirmation test at Dover on May 6-7 . . . Sprint Cup teams/drivers that participated in that test were the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota with Kyle Busch, No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet with Martin Truex Jr., and No. 99 Roush Fenway Ford with Carl Edwards . . . Track News and Announcements

Dover names FedEx 400 grand marshals:

Country music artist Luke Bryan and Joey Principe, a 17-year-old Delawarean with Asperger’s Syndrome, have been announced as the grand marshals for the Sunday, June 1 “FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks” Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway. Bryan has quickly become one of Nashville’s most sought after entertainers. His “That’s My Kind of Night Tour” is currently playing across the U.S. and Canada, selling out all concerts to date. This summer, the tour will feature Bryan’s first-ever stadium shows in four cities - Pittsburgh, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia. His previous tour performed for 1.3 million fans in 2013. Principe is a 17-year-old young man with a high functioning form of autism called Asperger’s Syndrome. He is about to complete his junior year at Delcastle Technical High School in Newport, Del. in the Production & Imaging Department. He enjoys music and video games, and loves bowling with his friends from school. Principe has a 15-year-old sister, Samantha, who has autism. This marks the eighth straight year the Monster Mile is partnering with Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, to help raise funds and awareness for the cause throughout the weekend.(Dover Speedway)(5-29-2014)

Dover names Nationwide race sponsor:

The Delaware Office of Highway Safety and Dover International Speedway have teamed up for the “Buckle Up 200 presented by Click It or Ticket” NASCAR Nationwide Series race, set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

Throughout the May 30-June 1, 2014 race weekend at the Monster Mile, the Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS) will promote and educate fans on the importance of wearing a seat belt on every trip and the ramifications that come with failing to do so. The Click It or Ticket program, now 14 years old, is a national seat belt enforcement campaign aimed at saving lives by enforcing seat belt laws and ticketing motorists who fail to buckle up. OHS conducts year-round seat belt enforcement with state and local police agencies in Delaware, which is directed toward high crash locations and scheduled during times of the year when unrestrained crashes peak. This enforcement is coupled with several education and outreach activities throughout the state, including partnerships with schools, corporate agencies and little league organizations, as well as the “Buckle Up 200 presented by Click It or Ticket” with Dover International Speedway.(Dover Speedway)(5-20-2014)
