Carson on ‘Sluggish’ U.S. Economy: ‘We Have Asinine Economic Policies’

Author and retired pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson said at a National Press Club luncheon that the reason for the “sluggish growth” of the U.S. economy is because of bad policy.

“And why do we have such sluggish growth?” Carson said on Wednesday in Washington, D.C. “Because we have asinine economic policies.”

“We have the highest corporate tax rate in the world,” Carson said. “And we sit here and we complain about companies doing business overseas.”

“So, a wise government creates an environment that is conducive to business, not one that drives it out and then blames them and demonizes them,” he said. “That doesn’t make any sense.”

When asked about who he hopes will support him, Carson said, “God,” which is who he also credited for American exceptionalism.

I would like to have him as VP in the Cruz administration. A little weak on the 2nd amendment, but he would be another great VP candidate.

He speaks so softly but I’m beginning to think maybe he does carry a big stick.

He’s one of our finest citizens. Frankly, I don’t want to see a good man like this get torn to shreds by the liberals and their media lackeys. The fact that he isn’t a liberal black means it’ll be open season for the media to look into his full background and for the lefties in the Democratic Party to tear him apart. Dr. Carson, you’re much too valuable to society and far too good a human being to get into the slime pit that is politics.

Did you ever see the Lifetime movie made about him? It was very inspiring.

what are these “economic policies” he’s talking about. All I have seen is a five and a half year slow-motion abortion procedure taking place.

Oh, c’mon Dr. Carson! That’s just way too logical. That’s like saying water is wet. You know this administration and their commielib Amen chorus are never going to be able to get their heads around your comments talking like that. They all stopped at “asinine” wondering if that was a word describing a gay orgy.

From what I have seen of him on TV and radio interviews, the good Doc can handle himself with gotcha attacks. He has not been stumped even once that I saw. He better brush up on what is Bush doctrine and Obama doctrine, because it will be asked.

I am aware that some feel he is weak on the 2nd Amendment but the only statement I am aware of is the one he made that he doesn't think Americans need an armored tank in their garage. Otherwise, he has made statements solidly supporting the right to possess and bear arms. If you have references supporting your 2nd Amendment concerns, I would appreciate hearing about them. It is clear he derives his inner strength from his strong belief in the Almighty. He is calm and mild mannered while carrying a verbal whip that is wielded by his high intellect.

The MSM would have a heart attack if was a Palin-Carson ticket, but more likely a Cruz-Palin/Carson will emerge

I posted a thread on that subject about tanks and the second amendment. There are some questions on the second amendment, and the unknown on foreign policy.

As I said Dr. Carson sounds great. I never heard him say anything about the 2nd amendment, but what people say on FR on his views.

Of course, to some, of you aren't 100% conservative, you are a RINO.
