In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.

Adjective
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.

They have WiFi over there, too.
If he didn’t tweet it, I didn’t see it.
(Personally, I would've had more competition to determine a winner perhaps a tiebreaker like spelling the opponent's surname, or even the WFTD ;-)
Let's ask Hillary clinton since she was named for Sir Edmond Hillary before he ever achieved fame for climbing Mt. Everest
They said the recommendation is for definitely the first two years, then your choice. To cover themselves they say lifetime, I guess.
There is a couple I often see at the diner in the mornings. I think both are retired NYC cops. She just had a hip replacement and we chatted briefly. Apparently, when using the commode they had a seat with handles built in and she got her butt wedged in and couldn’t get up. LMAO She had me laughing at her foibles since her surgery. She is now a month out and just ditched the walker.
Really, who makes up this stuff and then thinks the public is that gullible?
My mother grew up in Painted Post, I spent my preschool years living there. Nice little town. I was hearing about the spelling bee champ on the radio this morning. A+++
So last year I got a bridge and a crown on top of that. This year, both knees. The joys of aging.
That’s exactly what I had to postpone until this year. I hope there’s enough there to fix and replace the crown. I don’t want another implant. And crown. Honestly, if the crown was seated correctly, how did this sort of thing happen? I can’t clean under them.
I was at the Corning plant in Painted Post once. Rented a Cadillac with rear wheel drive. It snowed about 8 inches overnight. Good time.
Yeah - but it beats the alternative!
I still use an old dictionary from 1968 on my desk, which was awarded by the Buffalo News at that time for everyone who made it to the Erie County “spell-offs” ... Only made it through a few rounds then, and can’t imagine getting to the stage where these kids were.
Corning is my hometown. I lived near the Corning Glass Center growing up. Was born in Corning Hospital. Still have tons of relatives there and go back often.
Do you mean Sullivan Park? DH used to work there, still have relatives who work for Corning.
How cool. I remember spelling bees. I used to spell with a pause for syllables. The teachers always used to comment on that. It made it easier for me to see the word as I spelled it. Why I recall that I don’t know.
That sounds like a very useful mnemonic device (spell that, BTW ;)
You also don’t forget the word that put you out of the competition as I recall it was “sedative”, misspelled with an -I- instead of the -A-. Perhaps I was thinking of the word “sedition”; even at that young age, political views were being formed .....
it was completely painless and efficiently done. He is hoping that he caught it in time and that i won’t need a root canal. which is the drawback to waiting too long. i just have the numbness. xsbaby had a filling at the same time, so we are both numb in the face.
You lucked out. I would have to have the root canal and then a brand new crown. If I was lucky enough to have enough tooth structure. Otherwise, implant and new crown. I hope I have half your luck!
It was in Painted Post. They made catalytic converters there. That’s all I remember. Would have been in the mid 90s.
