In a sweeping initiative to curb pollutants blamed for global warming, the Obama administration unveiled a plan Monday that cuts carbon dioxide emissions from power plants by nearly a third over the next 15 years, but pushes the deadline for some states to comply until long after President Barack Obama leaves office.
The 645-page rule, expected to be finalized next year, is a centerpiece of Obama's plans to tackle climate change and aims to give the United States more leverage to prod other countries to act when negotiations on a new international treaty resume next year. Under the plan, carbon emissions would be reduced 30 percent by 2030, compared to 2005 levels, putting in motion one of the most significant actions on global warming. …

Will the next American president throw all this s*** in the nearest dumpster when taking office? That is the question Hillary should be forced to answer when she tries to lie her way to the top. And the next Republican to run shouldn’t get the nomination until he/she takes an oath to the American people that all of Obama’s decrees will become null an void the minute they are sworn in.
If the next Republican candidate can’t secure the coal mining states by pledging to roll this back then we are most assuredly screwed.
The development of a Fascist State like Hitler had in 1930’s Germany, and what Obama almost has now in the nearly former USA, depends upon opposition leaders who refuse to lead the opposition, but continue to stay in power by support of their morally weak supporters.
The last attempt to oppose Obama failed when Boehner, Cantor, McConnell and McCain caved in to the stonewalling refusal to negotiate by Reid and Obama in late 2013 and early 2014.
Until effective voter pressure can be brought to bear on the Republicans and Democrats in the House and Senate to replace the Republican Leadership in the House and Senate, Obama will continue to “Fundamentally transform the United States of America” into the most powerful Fascist Empire that the World has ever known.
Will these opposition Congressmen and women act before the November 2014 Election, or will they continue to wait to lose again, as usual, to the Left Wing, low information Voter in November, 2014?
BTW, money and reason are wasted on multimillionaire career politicians as they cannot be bought or convinced - - - they are the hardened professional criminal politicians that we have, for decades, elected and tolerated, gratefully for the “free” stuff that they have bought our votes with.
Obama is just doing as he was raised up to do, and will never change.
Our opposition Republican Leaders are doing everything that they can to make sure Obama is successful, and they will never change.
The change must come from opposition House Members and Senators in “both” parties, before low-information voters have made up their minds about whether or not to continue the status quo.
The Summer of 2014 is the last chance for We, the People to force our House and Senate Members to change their leadership before Labor Day, 2014, when early voting begins?

Man, they got this headline flipped around fast. Just an hour ago it said that something like “President Orders Drastic Cut in Greenhouse Gases”.
We’ll soon find out if Republicans in the House and Senate can get up on their hind legs...
I like your idea. What can we do to get some of these people to go back to high school science & learn that CO2 is NOT a pollutant? Democrats may well be,but not CO2.
If these pollutants are to blame for causing global warming, what is the man-made cause of global cooling (the other half of global climate change)?

Obama just rolled some stoooopid Environmentalists for campaign cash by making an undeliverable promise for 20 yrs. in the future.
