You can now buy a Tee shirt at Disneyworld that says:
“I Conquered It’s a Small World”
With a dramatic boat ride scene on the front.

We need to re-capture the optimism of that time. We have become cynical, dark, and selfish—Today we seen the world as a Hunger games or Mad Max sort of place. We can build a future we wish—we do not need to live this way—we chose it by the poor leaders we pick—the selfish businesses we support and the “me first” attudes were embrace. It can be a better world! Hey, what happened to World’s Fairs? Why don’t we have them anymore? In my mind they were better than the Oympics. Last one in New Orleans was a bust-—BUT I am sure a new one could be made today to show off the new America that will rise after Obama’s debaucle.

The Tut exhibition was at the Metropolitan Museum of art in about 1979, IIRC. It was wonderful....but so crowded you could barely move.

I probably went 3 or 4 times over the two years, because growing up I lived about 30 minutes away.
