LIES: And the Deserters that Tell Them
Clash Daily ^ | 5 June 2014 | Pauline Wolak

State Department Barbie wants the world to know that Bowe Bergdahl wasn’t a deserter. In an exchange with Fox News, reporter, Lucas Tomlinson, Marie Harf made it clear only Bergdahl could be trusted.

“Does the State Department consider Sergeant Bergdahl to be a deserter?” Tomlinson asked.

“The State Department — no, Lucas. Look, what we’ve said is we are going to learn the facts about what happened here,” she responded. “He’s been in captivity, Lucas. I think he’s probably the person who knows best what happened on that night”

“According to those around him, his platoon-mates his squadron-mates said he walked off,” Tomlinson responded. Harf, however, dismissed the assertion.

“Lucas, some of them, there are conflicting reports out there about this,” she said.

“The guys on national television last night, his squad-mates, platoon-mates were not correct?” Tomlinson asked.

“I’m saying we do not know the fact pattern yet. We don’t. Nobody knows exactly what happened that night,” Harf said in response.

“Well, I think that his squad-mates would have the best indication,” Tomlinson said.

“I don’t think that that’s the case,” she said.

I don’t know what a “fact pattern” is, but I am fairly certain Marie Harf is dipping her fact bucket into the same well of bulls**t as Susan Rice.

Keep up your harf-assed answers, Marie. The only conflicting reports are whether he was a deserter or a collaborator. Only Susan Rice claims that he served with honor and distinction.

I'm starting to understand the pattern here. This is like a Charles Manson type of deal but without the murders, but that same kind of fanatical devotion where logic and truth go completely out the window. Obama hides behind the scenes and he sends out his "Manson girls" to do his bidding like programmed automatons. "You will say Benghazi is from a video, Bergdahl served honorably, he did not desert"

"Obama Obama Obama he is The One!"

"Nothing says “credible” like a big girl with “I’m smart” glasses."

Not like she has to fend off offers to get in the sack by the corps of metrosexual Pajama Boys that infest this regime.

Stock up on D-cells, honey.

The only question is how do they get these people to keep going out putting out this BS. Was everyone in the administration given a trial balloon to try and float? It appears that total obfuscation is in the works now. Try to get as many targets taking flak as you can. Run out the clock. Attention spans will wane.

She looks like that large-nosed mother from a ‘Frasier’ episode. Roz was dating a guy and both his parents had HUGE noses.

Essentially AWOL is being absent from your place of duty without permission. You could be AWOL and still be on the base if you were required to be some where else. If the standing orders were not to leave the forward operating base then as soon as he went out the gate he was AWOL. It switches over to desertion if you have no intent to return. If his mother was sick and he got on a plane and flew back to the U.S. to visit here with the intent to return he’s just A.W.O.L. On the other hand if he walked out the gate with no intent to return and the M.P.’s grabbed him and brought him back then he could be considered a deserter if they knew by his words, writings, actions and the testimony of his fellow soldiers that he had no intent to return he could be convicted of desertion.

I seem to remember that if you left where the intent wasn’t determined that there was a time period when you were presumed to have deserted rather than being AWOL, but I could be wrong.

In Bergdahl’s case if reporting is correct he left his unit twice before. Once in California and once in Afghanistan and returned so that could show some intent to only go AWOL. On the other hand sending his personal goods home a couple days before he left; his various letters and emails (as reported by the MSM)along with what his fellow unit members are saying would tip the balance toward this being desertion. The secret reports if their contents are reported correctly point to desertion as well.

The decision in this case can be made from circumstantial evidence with or without his testimony. He can even say he intended to return but if the evidence convinces the judge in the case that he deserted that’s enough.

As for a trial you have to wonder if there already has been enough Command Influence that he’s a good guy and finding him guilt of desertion will embarrass the administration and their negation skills so that anyone finding him guilty will have their career ruined.

Please tell me Freepers; am I just getting really old, or do all of these State Department people look like they just got out of junior high school.
To me they all look like they belong on the 7th or 8th grade debate team and not necessarily the winning side.
