Every president leaves a legacy for the history books after leaving office. The strongest legacy I remember from Clinton was Monica Lawinski, sex in the oval office and 'I did not sex with that woman'. With Geo. W. Bush it was the 911 attack, invading Iraq and Afganistan. So far, with Obama it's a zero legacy to be proud of. All I read on this website is a whole series of horrible scandels. But that's only a part of his legacy. The most serious part is turning this nation into a socialist third world country. There is not a single good thing that can be said about him.
His sad legacy will be that the first African American elected President of the United States was a bizarre incompetent narcissist who led the country into an era of neo pagan decadence and decline.
I've tried considering that statement objectively, and I think it's true. The only positives I can think of with Obama are that he is neither intelligent enough nor energetic enough to do as much damage as he would like to inflict on our country.
With Obama, the mask has fallen. Big Government helps Big Business, but there shall be no mistake: Big Government holds the whip and calls the shots. The president does what he wants and the other branches of government do not matter.
That's his legacy. And make no mistake: 2016 will not change this. The country has turned a corner and there is no going back. The people want it this way. Obama merely shows us our own desires.
BUMP! BUMP! BUMP!
Obama’s legacy will be showing all of us, what happens when you elect a president who is a doctrinaire liberal/socialist/Alinskyite to office.
The liberals will say that Obama wasn’t able to accomplish more positive things for the country, due to being opposed by evil Republicans for his entire 8 years in office. But we shall see results, such as the ongoing effects of Obamacare down the road, as the true legacy of Obamaism.
And it might just make some people have 2nd thoughts about ever electing a liberal socialist acolyte of Saul Alinsky to high office ever again. Just maybe.
They say that even in Illinois where Dems have dominated the state for a century.
“If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan.”
Now his people think (so Tucker Carlson says) that just being the "first Black president" will be enough -- that the country will change enough demographically so that most Americans will feel connected to him in a way that they aren't to other presidents.
It's similar to JFK. You could say that the Peace Corps or the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam or the Bay of Pigs was his "legacy," but in truth, it's the generational thing -- the fact that he imposed himself on the consciousness of Americans as the "young president."
Of course people of Kennedy's generation and the one or two generations younger than himself who were alive in his era might feel that way, but the idea of Kennedy as young and as someone contemporary has persisted among people whose parents weren't even born when JFK was alive.
Anyway, that's what they're gambling on at this point. There's little chance BHO will put any landmark legislation through Congress and no chance relations with foreign countries are going to get much better than they have been since the initial glow faded.
his legacy is that he destroyed America

I believe his legacy will be giving us the first truly conservative POTUS we’ve had since Reagan. Four years of Carter gave us eight years of Reagan. Eight years of Obama will, I truly believe, put a real conservative back in the WH. Yes, the country is pretty far gone. No, it’s not the same place that elected Reagan. But give Obama 2.5 more yrs to further tank the economy, wreck healthcare & embarrass us on the world stage, & something unexpected may, & very likely will, happen. Time will tell.
Yes but who is that conservative. I can’t think of any, except maybe Sarah Palin.
At this point in Carter’s failed/disastrous presidency, I doubt many had Reagan fingered either. At a country’s darkest hours true patriots emerge & rise to the challenge. Let’s not get too involved in trying to name the man or woman just yet. Please file my name away somewhere, & if the Good Lord gives us life, get back to me after the GOP primary of ‘16.
“I believe his legacy will be giving us the first truly conservative POTUS weve had since Reagan.”
I must say, you do have the perfect screen name.
“2016 will not change this. The country has turned a corner and there is no going back.”
I tend to agree. The fact that the illegal alien Communist was RE-elected says it all. Marxist media and education have turned America to the dark side. Add to that the rapid growth of the black and illegal alien population.
Time will tell.
I think Reagan was a surprise. We didn’t expect him, or his revolution.
HOPEFULLY; True conservatives will ...eventually... take the reigns.
The left will then howl in the night... in frustration...
IF we can return to that place, I look forward to it!!!!
I pray it is in my lifetime.
The obama depression. But he still has 2 1/2 years to cause even more destruction.
I don’t think I would call it a legacy. It will be more like a lingering odor.
Hey, c’mon! He reduced penalties for convicted crack users and distributors.
