There are 9 news coppers, several cop choppers, in excess of 200 cops in the area, dog teams, swat teams, a dozen fire trucks, a fleet of paramedics, LAPD lunch trucks are serving lunches for all. They are in the process of setting up a stage, microphones and those in the makeup trucks are quite busy.
The news conferences will be for those running for office, and those involved in current political campaigns.
Who will be on camera and speak is currently being debated off camera near the command post.
Media scrips are quickly being written by multiple departments spokespeople for the afternoon news. All in an attempt to thank everyone involve as they ready to their back slap fest.
Probably bring the chief out and do a presser in front of their new building. Right across the street from city hall. They.ve done them in that spot before.
The first back slap fest will be underway soon.
They are finishing the long list of all the government agencies who will be repeatedly praised and thanked for keeping everyone safe and happy.
Not to be out done, schools many blocks away have announced “lockdowns” and will be available for the news media questions as soon as they have time to get their hair done.
I have been watching the developments. My guess is that with so much LE in the area, news choppers, police choppers, etc, the guy is long gone. ;-)

Tactically everything has been put on hold until they can have several news conferences. The first news conference was delayed when officials began arguing about who will go up in front the cameras. In fact the ding hold up in the house has now become secondary because of the news conference concerns and issues.
LAPD says it knows what house he is in.

Negotiations between police and perp in progress.
Students evaculated from general area.
Perp described as: 40ish year old Hispanic male.
News crews are not showing exact residence on camera.
