I heard that Jack Trammell urged Democrats to vote in the Republican primary for Brat.
That could explain the extreme divergence from the polls.

Maybe Trammel ran specifically to take out Cantor for Brat?
Trammell's urging of Democrat voters to vote in the Republican primary for Brat is something the polls don't take into account.

I strongly doubt that the Dems had a major effect. After the SBE results at the voter name level become available, then this assessment can be made. From polling observation in at least my County, this was definitely not the case. But only detailed analysis will show. Republicans, Tea Party, and conservatives were very unhappy with Eric Cantor.

I heard that Jack Trammell urged Democrats to vote in the Republican primary for Brat. Wouldn't someone have noticed that type of outreach, some news type?
