Abu Dhabi Court has issued a verdict in favour of a person who had asked the court to prevent his ex-wife’s sister from visiting his children after the former was sentenced and in an ‘indecent’ case, reported Emarat Al Youm.

The man requested that the woman be banned from visiting his children, who lives with his ex-wife.

The court said that the father is the legal guardian of his children and he has the right to care for them.

Earlier, he had filed a case in Court of Khorfakkan requesting that the family of his ex-wife be prevented from visiting his children, especially his ex-sister-in-law.

The Court of First Instance had issued a verdict barring his ex-sister-in-law from entering the house of his children, but did not prevent other members of his ex-wife’s family from visiting.

Therefore, he appealed the judgment before the Khorfakkan court of Appeal, which cancelled the appeal.

The man, then, appealed before the Court of Cassation.

The court accepted his request on the grounds that he was trying to protect his children from the influence of his ex-sister-in-law as she was sentenced in an ‘indecent’ case.

She probably left the house without her burlap bag over her head and upset some of the wonderful townsfolk.
