LAFITTE, La. (AP) — Gasps can be heard by tourists on a swamp boat tour in south Louisiana as their guide jumps in the water to feed chicken and marshmallows to two alligators. At one point the guide puts a marshmallow in his mouth and lets one of the gators snatch it away.

The scene was captured on video by Stacy Hicks of St. Helens, Oregon, who visited the area in May.

"When he jumped in I was a little scared, more for him than us though," Hicks said. "I am surprised at the attention this video has gotten. I just thought that this was a thing that happens all the time on the tours."

I know some guys that work these tours. One told me there’s a female gator they got so comfortable around that she protects them from younger aggressive gators. I think they’re crazy to put any trust in gators but a lot of these guys have spent all their lives doing this and who am I to tell them that I think it’s crazy.

I have lived worked hunted in the swamps of South Louisiana. He is perfectly safe with the gators in the Video. However, if he keeps this up there will be a day when a big new Bull Gator is in the area. The Bull Gator will not see him for anything except a damn good meal.

Darwinism works!

Yeah, I was thinking he can only get away with this because these gators are too small to really want to eat a meal as big as he is.

“He is going to get his face bitten off!”

No, he’s going to get his head bitten off. Stupid is as stupid does.
