It's time America called football 'football' and not 'soccer'.
Soccer is Old World football.

And we are in the New World.
And that’s why I will always call it soccer.
How about calling it diveball?

I say we just call it FagBall and ship this turd Morgan back to Britton.
I’m hearing soccer is getting great ratings on TV and lots of kids play it, etc., world’s most popular sport. But i use the word soccer because it isn’t football—to me and to many Americans.

Soccer is actually soccer in more places than it’s football. Meanwhile there are a couple of other sports referred to as football by the locals. The reality is that the most popular rectangular field sport in your region is called football in your region, and might not be called football anywhere else.
Now that I think of it Canadians use the F word too, for the sport we know as Football.

There are places where rugby is called football. American football has plenty in common with European football, it’s the most popular rectangular field sport in the region, which seems to really be all it takes to be called football.
If it doesn’t require a helmet, it is not a legitimate sport anyway...
