It's time America called football 'football' and not 'soccer'.

How about calling it diveball?

Players diving to the ground pretending to get hit, to draw fouls.

I’m hearing soccer is getting great ratings on TV and lots of kids play it, etc., world’s most popular sport. But i use the word soccer because it isn’t football—to me and to many Americans.

National FOOTBALL League
North American SOCCER Association

Yes people use their feet more in soccer, but isn’t he being a bit rude to tell us what to call it? That CNN bust-out.
When I think football I think linebackers, quarterbacks,
and the Super Bowl. When I think soccer, I think goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal. gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal.

Just wait, they’ll soon say that the word “soccer” is racist.

Soccer is actually soccer in more places than it’s football. Meanwhile there are a couple of other sports referred to as football by the locals. The reality is that the most popular rectangular field sport in your region is called football in your region, and might not be called football anywhere else.

Since they also use their head and chest, it should be called "No Hands Ball."

There are places where rugby is called football. American football has plenty in common with European football, it’s the most popular rectangular field sport in the region, which seems to really be all it takes to be called football.

If it doesn’t require a helmet, it is not a legitimate sport anyway...
