I have a lot of friends who are Democrats. A lot. Having spent my entire adult life in the entertainment industry and much of it living in Los Angeles, that is just a fact of life.
Back in olden times (the 1990s), the Democrat politicians in Washington seemed to be much like the people who elected them. They also went about business in a way that was rather normal, if not to my particular ideological liking. This was all due to the fact that the extreme progressive hippies hadnt completed the takeover of the party that they had begun in the 1970s.
Patient lot, these hippies.
Now the fix is in and the Left-of-Castro wing of the Democratic party is fairly well in control and dystopia is upon us. The people who began their political lives by expressing an overwhelming hatred of all things government have done a 180 and now embrace the egregious use of the federal monster to the point it almost seems like a fetish. Its sort of like the no bigger smoking nag than an ex-smoker thing in reverse.
With a stealth progressive in the White House the fully armed and operational battle government has been deployed for purely political reasons in ways that should give any regular citizen pause.

FDR did NOT get us out of the Depression.
FDRs policies directly prolonged the Depression by over 13 years.
If Milton Friedman were alive he would state that the Great Depression ended with FDRs death.
If FDR followed the approach that Harding took (cut back government by 50%) it would have been over in less than three years.
My parents were quite different than yours. They, too, were FDR democrats. And having been Irish Catholics (from Boston,no less) they were *thrilled* with JFK.But once they got a look at McGovern,RFK and the swill dropping acid from coast to coast in the mid/late 60's they were solid for Nixon. And they never looked back.
Does the average Republican know how far left the GOP-e is leading them?
“But once they got a look at McGovern,RFK and the swill dropping acid from coast to coast in the mid/late 60’s they were solid for Nixon. And they never looked back.”
Good for them...they put the country first.
“FDR did NOT get us out of the Depression.”
Fair point, I should have added “in their minds”. I agree, the Depression went on a LOT LONGER than it had to, because of FDR.
My parents were Kennedy Democrats..very Prolife and very strong belief in God and very conservative. They changed party when Blue Dress Billy Bubba showed up. My mother said no and my parents loved Bush sr. From then on, no more voting democrat. They voted Republican until the Lord called them home. =)
Do Average Democrats Know Far Left Loons Are Leading Them?
The Democratic Party of today is not the same one your grandad was a member of. It’s been subverted by radical enemies who push their progressive / socialist strategies to destroy the U.S. from within while masking who they truly are often remaining hidden so that you think they are only minorities and the downtrodden.
“the same FDR that got us out of the Depression”
His interference prolonged the depression. Then WWII disguised the depression. Depression did not end until after the war.
Gravy; also, The Smug.
They don’t care what their Demonrat leaders do or say as long as The Smug can be acquired.
Last night was my husbands class of 64 reunion. A friend of ours back then was at the reunion. He was a radical SDS member from the 60’s and working on his doctorate at the time of the Kent State shootings, he was a campus agitator and questioned heavily in the aftermath. Drug use and radicalism has consumed most of his life. Through the years whenever we were all together we always exchanged political debate and he always has been a steadfast liberal. Last night when I walked in and we were sitting together, the first thing he said was, “I have been converted, I am a Rush Limbaugh ditto head, a conservative, and am looking for redemption and God.” His guilt is heavy over the pain he helped cause at KS. He has been drug free for seven years. He said what drove him away has been the lies, the exclusion of honest debate and the federal government takeover and taxes, precisely what his groups were against back then. He finds Pelosi and her kind in DC jokes and hopes he will still be around to see the last “Washington DC hippy” die. He was an insider at the time and now admits Communism was the goal. I am praying for him, his has been a rough road to travel.
We're more than 200 years old and autoimmune disorder is a condition that occurs when the governing system both mistakenly and purposefully attacks and destroys healthy body politic.
There are more than a zillion different types of autoimmune disorders. Some listed in the article. There is only one effective treatment.
From the Chambers to the chamber pot..
Void the bowels of Washington, D.C. 2014 - 2016
That should reverse the problem. Doc WoC
The title of the article is complete silliness. The average dim doesn’t know anything. And they vote in lockstep with their marxist leaders.
NO, the average Democrat is already a far left loon.
Political loyalty, left or right, generally means blindness to anything that challenges that loyalty.
And, both sides will easily do the exact things they accuse the other of doing and be blind to that as well.
Generally, it takes pain to break through that sort of self-induced blindness, a steady diet of disappointment, discouragement and disillusion, along a few serious jolts of loss and/or hardship before the mental wheels start to turn.
And that's exactly what is on the menu. Should be very educational.
No. The average Democrat is appallingly uninformed about current events that reflect negatively on the left. He lives entirely inside the liberal bubble. He gets his news from the Propaganda Corps, and from nowhere else.
How do I know Dems think this way? I have three lib sisters, two lib brothers, and friends and in-laws who earnestly believe that without Big Government looking out for them, the nasty Republicans are going to steal everything. To be an average Dem is to be an ignoramus.
Sounds like my parents. Both are now dead, but I kidded them one time that they thought FDR was still the president. They didn’t laugh. Both were religious and strong social conservatives. But they hated Republicans. Because Republicans were all greedy, and the Dems stood up for the little guy. You might as well have been trying to convince a newborn baby not to wail than convince my parents they might have been wrong about politics.
