Holidays, lost business in World Cup's lazy days

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) -- Brazil's World Cup is in full swing and the world's biggest sporting event is becoming a great excuse to skip work and enjoy holidays decreed just for the event.

Yet, not everybody is pleased.

According to Fecomercio, a group representing Brazil's goods, services and tourism industries, those sectors stand to lose $13.5 billion

Don't know, and don't care, at least until I hear another one...

Don't care for the World Cup, let alone take any interest in soccer.

I'm down to baseball as to any major sport that I'll even consider watching, or more likely listen to, for background.

I clicked on the article for the socioeconomic aspects of gub'mint officials selling out taxpayers to please already wealthy grifters.
