1. to pour (wine or other liquid) gently so as not to disturb the sediment.
2. to pour (a liquid) from one container to another.
3. to rehouse (people) while their homes are being rebuilt or refurbished
Origin: 1625–35; < Medieval Latin dēcanthāre, equivalent to Latin dē- de- + Medieval Latin canth ( us ) spout, rim of a vessel ( Latin: iron band round a wheel < Greek kánthos corner of the eye, tire) + -āre infinitive suffix
History: 1630s, "pour off the clear liquid from a solution by gently tipping the vessel," originally an alchemical term, from Fr. decanter, from M.L. decanthare, from canthus "corner, lip of a jug," from Gk. kanthos "corner of the eye," on a perceived resemblance between the beaked lip of a jug and the corner of the eye.

Obama is decanting the new wine of illegal immigrants into the old wineskin of high unemployment, in the hope that the change will burst open any remaining economic stability.

xsboy is about to leave for bachelor party weekend in Ocean City, picking the affianced up at noon from his ofc. hopefully that will be fun but incident free. Groomsmen are flying in from San Diego and Florida for this. The weather is supposed to be great. I think a half day fishing charter is on the menu, as well as a trip to Atlantic City.
There's only so much that Conservative spokespersons like Sarah or Ted can do to focus attention on the issue; if the people in general don't wake up soon, then the 21st Cent. AD will mark the transition of America into something that those who established its Founding & fought for until now will no longer recognize.
