Don’t bring a bike to a train fight.

Well, me and my wife rode 47 miles today on our road bikes, and we did not play chicken with no trains!!!! We did have a pickup truck go by us doing about 95 MPH and his wind vortex that came by us with him nearly sucked us off our bikes. It was everything to hold on and no go down. Thankfully we made it on home safely.

Light rail in the Twin Cities continues to kill pedestrians and motorists on a regular basis.
Permit holders?
Not so much.
So much for the “Wild West” and “Blood Running In The Streets”.

Wonder if it was one of those 10 speed duche-bags in the racing shirts and spandex pants.
Around here they think they own the road, block traffic, nearly cause accidents and dare cars to hit them, Obviously that attitude with a train would be an obvious mistake.

Good for you. (on the 47 miles part) Sounds like a great way to spend a Friday. Do you ever ride on trails?

These accidents could be prevented if they painted the area around the tracks green.

Gee how did the train know he hit it, causing the train to stop?

Here in our area of Alabama we have the Chief Ladiga Trail. It starts in Anniston, AL and runs to the Georgia line where it connects with the Silver Comet Trial and that runs to I-285 in Smyrna, GA near Atlanta. The entire trial is about 102 miles from end to end. Lots of it is in the woods and away from towns or cities. A wonderful ride. We use it for short or recovery rides after long rides. We also will ride parts of it to connect to other roads as we ride around.

Not being a rider, I don’t know. How does painting the area green prevent accidents?

The guy probably underestimated how fast the train was moving.

Hillsboro is a little over 23 miles west of Portland and has become a bedroom community of Portland. More than likely the biker was a non-wage slave out collecting cans for his medicinal pot which he takes because of his anxiety. And I am not being funny or sarcastic.

“How does painting the area green prevent accidents?”
Good question. Portland has spent incredible amounts of transportation funds painting streets green for bike safety.
So far the project has increased traffic congestion & pissed off a lot of people.
Maybe it would work as well painting the tracks/s

yep, that’s what came to mind when I was making that post
