In our daughters case, it was because she was bald as a billiard ball until she was 2. I just helped people avoid asking old our son was, although he/she was dressed in frilly pink outfits. The bow seemed to give a better clue.
My wife stuck it on with corn syrup. I thought the stable gun would hold it better but got that frown that says, “Don’t do it.”
