Good point. TV viewership of a sport’s playoffs usually go up in a market right after that market’s local team has been eliminated, right?

I don’t know about that because America is filling up with people who love soccer (immigrants)and most of them probably never will care how well the U.S. does versus the rest of the world.

Well this old Tennessean intends to watch every match I can fit into the schedule. The teams remaining for the round of eight area varied in talents. Argentina’s Messi is a little Genius and the entire Brazilian team is loaded with talent. But Argentina will be run over by a team that presses constantly in mid-field. This is an interesting World Cup even as the hard working American team bows out. The American goalie is astonishing in his tenacity. He blocked/saved more shots than any other goalie in World Cup history today!
