“He initially grabbed her to keep her from walking out into oncoming traffic.”

Please don’t try and inject any sort of objective investigation.

Lynch mob emotion is all that is allowed. Not facts or rational analytic investigation.

Yes let's rationalize a muscle-bound 300-pound cop straddling a woman while pounding her face into the concrete while she's putting her hands in front of her face. Good thinking.

Cop beating a woman in the face with her arms raised in defense is unacceptable in a world where there is a rule of law.

He's not doing his duty.

You can't uphold the law by breaking the law.

So that justifies beating someone like that?

You are right he did first grab her to keep her out of traffic and he was responsible to do so. He then took her down but it looks like she resisted his efforts to put cuffs on her. AT that time he initiated the use of force to force her to let him cuff her....
Restraining her from walking out into traffic was right.
Taking her down and cuffing her when she tried to pull away from him was right. She was a danger to herself and to others who were driving on that side of the freeway.
I also question the amount of force he used to subdue her and make her comply with putting cuffs on her. It appears to be excessive.
