They fly through the air with the greatest of ease,
Those magnificent sharks on their flying trapeze.

They will also play the original Sharknado on 7/30:

“I don’t understand it.”

It’s because it’s so DELIBERATELY bad it’s funny. Like watching a latter day “Plan 9 from Outer Space”.

LOL, that I get, but..to make multiple sequels, puzzles me. Is it not only to have a bad movie but you also have to have more of it to achieve another level of notoriety.

We had our own Sharknado for real this morning in SoCal (about a half mile north from where my kids and I swam yesterday):

Love the commercials - it's touted as "Even more ridiculous than the first one".

Horror/comedies seem to be alive and well and they serve an entertainment purpose. One can keep his mind active looking for all the comedic lines/situations.

“but you also have to have more of it to achieve another level of notoriety”

Indeed. So the big question is can they make Sharknado II WORSE than Sharknao I!

This movie was a hoot from the beginning! Airplane, Twilight Zone, and other hijacks that I’m not sure about in the first ten minutes. Judd Hirsch as a taxi driver doing Ernest Borgnine’s lines from “Escape from Ney York.” Too many, too quick. Kinda like “Airplane” with more material.

also the Subway dude who lost weight on it and the girl reporter looks like Jennifer Aniston, Robert Hayes as the Pilot like in Airplane, Matt and Al doing the weather, Kelly Osborn and Billy Ray Cyrus. It would be cooler if they asked William Shatner to do a scene LOL

Babe, You got it right. This more like “Scary Movie” parodies but with better cameos.

I looked for the cameos, but I guess I don’t know my celebs any more. What role did Kelly Osborne play? I didn’t recognize her.

She was the Airline Stewardess in the opening of the movie.

With the purple hair? Got it! Thanks.

I keep forgetting that people grow up. Mentally, I see her as the same way she was on Ozzie’s show, and that started more than 10 years ago.

Yes I remember how she looked but she has slimmed down. Unfortunately in the opening of the movie, she became the first victim of Sharknado II LOL.
