“Most overrated band ever.”

Agreed.

I think you’re right about Ringo’s big contribution to the Beatles’ success. Lennon and McCartney were brilliant songwriters, but without Ringo, the group chemistry and sound would’ve been a lot different, with who knows what results.

Led Zeppelin, Metallica, AC/DC, Rush, and Aerosmith vehemently disagrees with you.

I don't need to deal with anything. If you feel they are over rated, then fine. You are entitled to you own opinion.

However, you can't deny that 50+ years later they are still winning over a new generation of fans. I don't think you can say that for any other 60s era group. Their music still sells to the high school and college crowds and every city has some sort of 2 hour Beatles salute on Sunday mornings. I do not know of any musical group or artist who claims they weren't influenced (even if it was just a minor influence)by the Beatles.

His longevity as a performer and being a decent guy who doesn’t take himself too seriously speaks well for him.

He seems to have had fun and gives his audiences a good show for their money.

You know, Beatles being overrated is a fine premise.

Probably true.

But then,

“Led Zeppelin, Metallica, AC/DC, Rush, and Aerosmith vehemently disagrees with you.”

All one can say to that is HaHaHaHaHaHa

Dumbass, I am not ignorant about the fact that the Beatles are overrated. They simply are. I don’t doubt for a second they were a great band, but that doesn’t mean they were not overrated then or now.

Don't hold your breath, none of these guys will ever be on rock's Mt. Rushmore.

I think I’m becoming like that. I had no problems eating meat for so many years as a child. Ate meat practically everyday. Now I get a funny reaction when I eat Pork. Chicken..somewhat. I’m gradually weaning off meat gradually. My stomach can’t handle meat, not sure why. So I am researching on veggie recipes so that I can cook. After eating meat, my stomach feels like I want to throw it up, which I don’t and feel lethargic also.

They just happened to be in the right time period at the right time. It’s nothing but media coronation, much like Britney Spears in the late 90s. Other bands such as Steppenwolf and Mama and the Papas in that era are still superior, IMO. A decade earlier or later the Beatles would have been hooked off stage.

” I don’t think you can say that for any other 60s era group.”

Actually you can say it for almost all of them. Almost all of the well known bands of the 60s have gained new followers in recent years. That’s why their music is still selling. Jimi Hendrix probably puts out more albums now than when he was alive. That can only be because people are buying them.

So do Waring's Pennsylvanians, Paul Whiteman's Orchestra, George Olsen's Music, The Coon-Sanders Nighthawks and the California Ramblers.

I thin your exaggerating a bit.

But I’m not arguing Beatles being overrated.

I’m saying the bands you presented are laughably terrible.
