I have nothing in common with Zappa. And he was VASTLY overrated.
Zappa— excellent musician and guitar player. Very genius but very weird. Really liked his Hot Rats album and his guitar solo on Willie the Pimp is otherworldly. But who sings Zappa songs at weddings or anniversaries?
The Beatles are the most “ covered “ arists of all time . How many DC5 tribute bands do you see ? Who covers DC5 tunes ? Nobody . Byrds covered a lot of Dylan songs to get where they went and used studio musicians for a time as well . Get real .
