in the Apple store yesterday was a yorkie in a stroller. wouldn’t have even noticed but it started to YIP and then the owners opened it up and we saw the little thing. odd freak humanizing of a yorkie.

You can attribute most of the governmental turbulence in Washington to Obama’s truculence & utter disdain for the Congress and Supreme Court …

>> That [remedial English courses are taught in community colleges] just means that the public school system is a failure.

Exactly my point.

Lots of traffic on the Peace bridge yesterday. Going into the US was really backed up. Going north we only had to wait in a line of maybe a dozen cars.

Peace bridge sounds gay until you realize the other option for getting here is the Rainbow bridge.

Can you cover for me tomorrow?

The smugness of the IRS
May soon be fading fast
Pursued by the threat
Of e-mails from the past

The truculent attitude
That has been in display
Hopefully will no longer
Be a card for them to play

If even one lost e-mail
Is retrieved by someone
It will give prosecutors
The ticket for some fun...

You’ve got my attention-I’m going to B&N online and ordering Blood Feud-I planned to re-read Jack Whyte’s “Eagles Brood”, but something new would be nicer, and if it is Clinton bashing, that is good, too ...

sure I can. We were in Canada for the 4th one year and I recall it was pretty backed up coming back. We flew in and out of buffalo and so drove from there.

My hanging out down at the river Saturday evening didn’t show me a reason for that flashlight and lit tobacco I saw. I went down to the shed at 8:45-ish and sat beside compadre’s car and waited, but all I heard were leftover fireworks-that rousted a flock of wild turkeys that ran along the trail gobbling and carrying on into the woods.

As soon as it started to really get dark, a young couple on an ATV came down the trail, parked, put a blanket on the grass and opened cans of beer. I sat there for awhile, listening to them laughing and talking, but no one appeared at the rock seats-that couple were the only people around, so after awhile I left, not turning on my flashlight or making any noise-I didn’t want them to think I was eavesdropping. Maybe I’ll try again another night when there is not likely anyone in the woods or on the trail-I want to know who/what was sitting down there.

a spook likely would have been deterred by their presence?

You’d think so, but whatever it was wasn’t deterred by all the fireworks right there on the other side of the river on the cliff on the 4th. I was told that the guy became a total recluse after all the scandal-that was why he moved out here, but who knows how much of a story like that is true after over 30 years of telling? I remember the scandal, investigation, etc the guy leaving local TV and just dropping off the radar-I think it was 1980 or maybe a bit earlier, but that was the last anyone I know heard of him.
