The body of a woman found in an abandoned car in Gary, Ind., has been identified as belonging to Decarol Deloney-Cain, 54, a longtime flight attendant for United Airlines.

Police responding to a call about a car left on a gravel road found Deloney-Cain’s decomposing body in the trunk on Monday.

You would be surprised - even cataract lens replacements have serial numbers that are recorded by the surgeon. That used to be part of my job :)
Serial numbers are good. The bones found in the Texas desert years ago turned out to be atheist Madalyn Murray O’Hair identified by the number on a hip implant. Her two adult children were also found there, murdered by one of her own atheists.
Easiest.they didn’t rot and had a serial #.....teeth and bones take a while

Although it never occurred to me until your post it seems possible that my hip replacement has a serial number on it.I always joke with my family that when I die I'll be worth at least some money thanks to the titanium in my hip implant (soon to be implants) and my several gold fillings. ;-)

I wonder what database this information was found in?
Homicides where the victims knew the perps, not so hard to solve but it may take awhile to get someone to step forward and tell the truth.
Homicides where the victims didn’t know the perps beforehand, much harder to solve. DNA, lucky breaks and witnesses coming foward are almost always a must.
You'd better hope they wait till you die before they come for them.
