I don't know about Atlanta, but in Michigan we have these things on our windows. I think they're called...screens.

It became part of the northern USA when the so-called “polar vortex” dropped down so far south ... :-) ...

Well... it would be an easy bet. There are always polar vortices. The only way they could not happen is if the planet stopped spinning.

We used to call these cold fronts “Canadian Clippers” or as Texicans say “Blue Northers” But Polar Vortex sounds way more scary and better to stampede sheep into accepting bad laws with.

All this yip-yip-yapping about a “polar vortex” in July. Well I have yet to see it here in New England. Still wicked humid with thunderstorms in abundance.
