Cryptobiology... there used to be, then the pingmeister left in disgust (perhaps four, or maybe even five, years ago), turned over the list to someone else who quickly lost interest. I’ve occasionally added a CB topic to GGG, if there’s some kind of paleontological or primatology angle.

That bat doesn't look any more like "the devil" than any little brown bat you'd find in your back yard! But then, I suppose to most people little brown bats look like "the devil" too.
Why does everyone associate bats with "the devil?" Because they fly at night? So do owls and whippoorwills. Because of Bram Stoker? Where are all the animal rights crazies and their charge of "speciesism" when it comes to bats?
Sorry. I used to be a member of Bat Conservation International and am an avid chiropterophile.
