What happened there?
Call me crazy but I’m beginning to think NASCAR is fixed.
Gordon #24 wins - I fMrs p6 was here she’d be poppin’ campaign corks...
I was rooting for Kasey but then 24 took him on the restart and Jeff won it. I am wondering if KK needs some religion in his life. He sure needs someone or something ‘cause that boy has had a terrible year.
Gordon is already in the chase and Kasey isn’t I think. Seems like team orders should have taken over.
The new competition rules are that all racers must compete to the best of their abilities. No more tolerating a leader pulling back to let a lesser teammate score better. Otherwise, we're back to fake Bowyer spin-outs to throw the race in the last laps.

I think there's been a few cases of that being violated this year. Penske teammates comes to mind. Not to single them out.
I'm wondering if those were cases where the Chase wouldn't be impacted, perhaps jockeying for middle-pack position for next year's sponsors?

Years ago, I was not a Jeff Gordon fan; but a friend of mine who was a fan, passed away shortly after Jeff Gordon’s 2nd win at Indy.
This year, in my friend’s honor, I’ve been cheering for Jeff Gordon.
Great race. Happy for his crew.
Wasn’t that a treat? I was planning on catching the whole race, but our plans changed. Still, I got home in time to catch the last 20 or so laps. Everyone was so excited for him. On RaceBuddy on Nascar, everyone posting in their chat was rooting on Jeff.
Looks like Gibbs is planning on competing head on with Hendrick. Must have some more major sponsorship(s) lined up.
I'm a little dubious about Roush. Stenhouse and Bayne are not a one for one replacement for Kenseth and Edwards. Almost like they are accepting demotion to a 2nd tier operation.
I wonder if Jeff’s neighbor Chelsea Clinton was cruising around the streets of Manhattan waving a #24 flag?
The Cat in the Hat is sometimes quirky. Sounds like it was probably Edwards who decided to make the move.
These team owners are getting up in years.
Gibbs is 73, Penske 77, Roush 72, Hendrick 65, Childress 68, Petty 77.
Ganassi at 56 and Haas at 61 are the youngsters of the bunch.
I will volunteer my services to take over for one of them!
I’m sure they have succession plans but it looks to me that the “faces” of Nascar will change dramatically in the next decade.
Work load lighten up? We’ve had a 5 month house remodel that ends today w/carpet installation. Haven’t had my head in the league this year but when I do strange things happen. Yesterday I had Danica and she had rear end problems...(always thought it was her front end that needed some help but that is so sexist to say so I won’t )..also had Paul Menard and Juan Pablo nudges him into the wall. At least the smoke from the forest fires around us has shifted outa the area.
Danica’s locker differential broke, and 850 hp into one wheel makes for some pretty awesome burnouts.
Most likely her only burn out of the year...
JGR plane hits parked SHR plane at Concord airport:
A Joe Gibbs Racing plane collided with a parked plane from Stewart-Haas Racing at Concord Regional Airport on Sunday night as the NASCAR teams were returning to the Charlotte area after Sunday's Crown Royal 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, according to the Haas team. A spokesman for Stewart-Haas Racing said the team's empty, parked plane was hit by a Joe Gibbs Racing plane as it was parking. The plane's wing clipped the tail of the parked SHR plane. No one was hurt, the spokesman said.(Charlotte Observer)(7-28-2014)
