The sad thing is that most of the people who were in these series are not with us any more nor has there been anyone who came after them that could even begin to take their place.
So very true, and quite a few of the series were below the character and quality of the actors. Jack Webb ruined ''77 Sunset Strip'' when he fired all the cast but the late Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. The show was thereafter really unviewable in the 1963-64 season. But just a season earlier, it was wonderful.
