At some point, to "protect" us, there will also be a ban on the open carrying of stuffed animals.

Its hard to see how this might stand up in court. Its also hard to figure why its necessary. I suspect its so the police dont gun kids down by ‘mistake’. If true wouldnt it be better to provide proper training for the police force? THose who cant comprehend should be replaced.

They have to pass this because the police, etc. can’t discern between toy guns and the real ones. They don’t want the police committing justified murder.

I would assume this includes guns made out of Lego’s & Pop-tarts. I hear they are especially lethal.

Next, gun magazines (the paper kind) will need a brown wrapper.

I live in Southern AZ on the border, and come from East Texas near the Lake of the Pines. They can try to get this passed in our area, but I doubt many will survive the toy gun onslaught afterward.

As a kid we played army a lot. One kid had an M1,the big version not the carbine. We used it like a mortor because it was so big for us little kids. Hauled that thing all over the neighbor hood. No one ever complained. At least we were outside getting exercise.

I sent them the following..
****************************
I own property across the river in Dallas City and often come into Burlington,,, I’ve heard of some pretty brain dead proposals before but this one is about the craziest I’ve ever heard.
You want us to give you the power to license toy guns ,, with the license created by the city at the parents request ,, and if one of your officers sees my kid “unlawfully” pointing a squirt gun at his brother I can go to jail for a month and pay a fine equal to a tractor payment!
As this will likely be applicable within the city only does that mean it will simply be a “revenue” device for the city to fine out of towners?
Will your “license” have an expiration date? Will I have to get one each day my children want to play cops and robbers? Can I simply text message your secretary and have a digital license sent to my smart phone?
Please send me a copy of the proposed ordinance/law for me to evaluate and explain to me where this will fit in with existing statutes.
Can you please give me your list of reasons why you feel that this is a necessary limit on the peoples freedoms.

It is not fiunny. This goes with the punishing of even silently mouthing the syllable “gun” in school. It is training the next generation to fear and hate guns and anyone who doesn’t.

Well, I think this law should extend even further. I think Hollywood should be forced to eliminate fake guns as well in their movies and tv shows. Maybe they can have the actors point their fingers to signify where the gun should be or hold up drawings of their weapons. Wouldn't that be comical? Hollywood libs love to jump on the bandwagon against 2nd amendment rights and law-abiding citizens protecting themselves. At the same time they love making movies and tv shows where the heroes are brandishing weapons to protect the innocent.
