The women are complete on the Sprint Carry. Interestingly, the top 3 finishers were in the earlier heats. Lauren Brooks took 1st, Christy Adkins took 2nd, and Mandi Janowitz took 3rd. Camille didn’t do too well, nor did any of the other top women, and, while the top 3 overall didn’t change, the points did tighten up.
Men are up!
And that’s it for the Sprint Carry event. Fayette-nam’s own Nate Schrader won the event, Tommy Hackenbruck came in 2nd, and rookie Will Moorad came in 3rd. Jorday Troyan lost several places when he dropped his 150lb cylinder just a few feet from the finish line, and Jason Khalipa completely fell over on the last movement. Froning came in 14th place.
Hackenbruck’s excellent performance shook up the leaderboard yet again. Noah Ohlsen is still in overall 1st, Tommy Hackenbruck has moved up to 2nd, and Josh Bridges is in 3rd. Hackenbruck’s move pushed Scott Panchik to 4th and Rich Froning to 5th. It’s still only 50 points separating 1st from 6th, so expect more leaderboard shifts!
The next event is still listed as “TBA” so we’ll see what evil Dave Castro has cooked up in a few.
