Mount Rainier Could Be On The Brink Of A Monstrous Eruption

Mount Rainier, one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the U.S. and in the world, is widely expected to erupt again.

The only unknown facing scientists is when the massive stratovolcano, 4,392 meters tall and located 87 kilometers southeast of Seattle in Washington state, will finally explode.

Scientists from the United States and Norway recently mapped the electric and magnetic signatures of magma flows beneath Mount Rainier (pronounced “ray-near”). They’ve also discovered a mammoth magma reservoir below the mountain that will fuel any eruption with massive magma flows.

The research found out that magma or fluid molten rock is trapped in a pool some eight kilometers below the peak. The pool seems to be some eight kilometers to 16 kilometers thick and has about the same width. …

Using St. Helens 1980 VEI 5 as a reference point, we see that recent previous big eruptions (over VEI 5) average every 34 years and are:

Tambora 1815 VEI 7, Krakatoa 1883 VEI 6, Santa María 1902 VEI 6, Novarupta 1912 VEI 6, Mt. Mt. Pinatubo 1991 VEi 6.

Each step in the VEI is 10 times. A VEi of 6 is 10 times larger than a 5. A VEi of 7 is 100 times larger than a 5. We are not due for a VEI over 5 for some years yet - around 2025.

When Rainer blows it will have a VEI much bigger than St Helens, and certainly do far more damage, and kill more people. It was once predicted that such an eruption would remove the mountain in its entirety since Rainier is so high. That would also have the effect of removing Olympia, Tacoma, and Seattle in their entirety, as well as all the local LIVs and lefties glued to their tablets and TVs to watch the big event.

The rest of us would just break out the popcorn and forfeit summer for a few years ...

“...another retard post.”

My physics professor - a long time family friend - told me in January, 1980 that St. Helens would erupt on May 18th.

I guess he’s a ‘tard, too?

What is a meter and a kilometer?
I need measurements in rods and chains to make sense of this.

Apparently 1 meter = 0.19984 rods/0.04971 chains. A kilometer is just 1,000 meters, hence 199.84 rods/49.71 chains.

........Mt. St. Helens, Krakatoa .....

These horrible polluting events are due to the capitalist exploitation of the working classes, women, and select minorities by gender normative, patriarchal, hegemonic, eurocentric, imperialist, colonialist, racist white men.

But all is not lost. We have partially atoned for this by electing a gay disbarred Kenyan with a disbarred wife to the Oval Office, now we must elect a gay woman with a disbarred husband. One can only hope we are in time.

"Mount Rainier Could Be On The Brink Of A Monstrous Eruption" As long as Negro Mountain is not affected and the vote from Cheat Lake comes in, we'll be OK.
