You’re the one who is crying, not me. It’s not personal insults, nor jealousy — I’ve had a great career and assignments in nearly every major city of the U.S, including in DC during several administrations, as well as clients in Europe. It’s timely advice of what she needs to do to make herself more marketable to the people she needs to win. You are already won. True believers like you cannot win the election for her, because conservatives are a minority.

Elections are not won by the true believers, but by the swing voters. She has to win the people who are not convinced, and whose time available to dig into politics is not deep. That’s why “clothes make the woman” — and so does well-modulated speech and other aspects you may think are superficial. Those first impressions are often the only impressions swing voters really have time for.
