I never knew this about Mr. Grammer. He seems like a really nice person. Poor fella.

My sister was brutally murdered as well, a decade ago.

I like to think I’m not carrying around baggage imposed on me by the evil man who did it to her. God knows.

Having said that, I can say without heat, if the law allowed me to pull the trigger or the switch on him tomorrow, I would do so without hesitation or regret.

Read Genesis chapter nine, which was given to all mankind. The absolute requirement that those who shed innocent blood be sent to God for judgment has never been amended or repealed.

That imperative command was in fact the basis for the executive power of government.

My prayers go out to Mr. Grammer and his family.

To err is human, to forgive, divine! But is there more to the story?

The murderer did get a second chance. He was allowed to live. He cannot ask for more than that. The $200K trust fund will elude him. It was an insurance policy from a relative and he can only collect it on the outside. I wonder if he thinks now that the other murder he did that netted $0.50 was worth it?

I don’t see why anyone should forgive someone that is likely not sorry for what he did but maybe is very sorry he got caught.

I wonder if his sister would forgive this guy.

“Many of Grammer’s family and close friends were killed in violent or accidental manners. In 1968, his father, whom he had seen only twice since his parents’ divorce, was shot dead,[4] while in 1975, his younger sister, Karen, was abducted, raped, and murdered by spree killer Freddie Glenn.[10][11][12][13] In 1980, his twin half-brothers died in a scuba diving accident; and David Angell, close friend and producer of Frasier, died in the 9/11 attacks.[14][15]”.

In the words of St. Francis of Assisi

For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

When I was 20 my 18 year old sister was raped and beaten in Seattle. The police came to my house and took me to the hospital in see her,saying she had been in an accident.
I saw her there on a gurney in the hallway all beaten and cut up. The first thing she said?
I forgive him.
I’m sure that this was very influential in shaping the rest of her life. Bigger woman than I.

Good Lord, the poor girl was still alive after he slit her throat, she crawled to a house and tried to ring the doorbell for help before dying on the front stoop. I cannot imagine the horror she endured. Those four hours of being raped must have seemed like four years to her.

She wasn’t even my sister, and I don’t know if *I* can forgive the POS.
