The Algonquin Hotels cat fashion show is the hottest ticket in New York even Tara the hero cat will be there.
If you thought cat fashion shows were just a joke from Anchorman youre wrong. Not only do they actually exist, but the worlds premiere cat fashion show is taking place today at the Algonquin Hotel in New York.
The show is hosted by Matilda, the Algonquins in-house feline, and raises funds for the Mayors Alliance for NYCs animals.
The event is a cat-lovers dream, and not only features high-end kitties modelling the latest feline fashions by Ada Nieves for pets, but will also be attended by special guests Tara the hero cat and stray-turned-star Vito Vincent.
Oh, and the best part is this years theme is On Broadway. We know! We die!
To get in the mood for this years feline fabulousness here are some of the most spec-cat-ular looks from previous events. Enjoy.

That site is chock full of disturbing images.

These cars really don’t dig this ya’ know?
LOL
I had no idea they still had a cat. When it was renovated years ago, I thought they did away with that old tradition. They must have gotten a waiver because it’s against the law to have a pet in a place that has a restaurant or bar.

It’s a free country.
Who cares what a car thinks?
Matilda ( or Hamlet, should she retire and be replaced by a male)can only stay in the lobby now.
I think they got a semi waver or a compromise. Having a cat at the Algonquin is a tradition.
I’ve gone in there to see Matida and brought her a catnip mousie. They said it would go to charity, which was fine with me. I would have bought more had I known.
Vassar girls! I like her poem “Resume”.
It’s actually a favorite, but not a top five.
