“We didn’t have nearly as much of this stuff years ago in the USA.”

We had tons of this stuff in the 70’s and 80’s. Ever hear of Adam Walsh?

East of Ft. Drum; vast isolated area. Their home is on Mt. Alone Rd., ironically.

Please, God, spare these innocent children and return them to their family.

A ton? Dude read David Paulides books “Missing 411” We’ve had billions since the 30’s 40’s... It just made news in the 70s and 80s.

Sheesh......the world is not safe for young kids on their own...

Broad stroke there!

I live in the Philippines now. Here, I see small girls (and boys) walking down the street or standing by the roadsides all day long and even at night. It is a family oriented country, and it seems to "be a village". They are safe from harm as there is a culture here which protects small ones and big ones. Most of the pedophilia is from "foreigners", predominately (but not limited to) European whites. They are dealt with harshly, and some disappear. There are few blacks here, and the Muslims populate only a small area of the Island of Mindanao (though they love on every island).

My prayers go out for these girls, but know that God is still in charge and though we see bad things happen in our world, there is a Judgment!

Yes, there will be judgment at the time of our Lord's choosing. You are fortunate to not be inside the states to see the problems here up close and personal. I do realize there are problems also associated with the Philippines because fortunately my Daughter-in-Law is a Philippian thus we have had long conversations regarding her homeland. Daughter-in-Law is a fine person and could not have asked to have been blessed with a better Daughter-in-Law. What bothers me most are the number of children disappearing inside the states. The numbers are astounding to say the least and so few are ever recovered alive.

This won’t end well. We know it. I sure hope they are found alive but even if they are we know what will have happened.

The first 72 hours are most important. Who here has the Penn ping list??????

Beautiful girls! You watch out for them. There are sick people in this world. I read about it every day. Make sure they wear their Miraculous Medal when they are out on the streets.

Make sure they wear their Miraculous Medal when they are out on the streets.

I have no idea what medal you reference. They are not 'my girls", only some that live nearby and regularly walk along the highway going to and from the local school. Some of my friends have been walking the 3-5 kms every day for years, from 1st grade onward.

There are sick people in this world.

On that, we can agree. But the thought that there is some magical medallion or potion to keep us/them safe is a form of sorcery. It must stem from that system defined by Rome, which supports such idolatry and ignores the power of God's Holy Spirit.

But, be sure that God is watching us all. NOTHING happens of which He is not aware and be sure that He will punish far longer than what mens' laws can define. The Holy Spirit is the best defense...

Ephesians 6: 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Kidnappings in the Philippines nearly doubled in 2013—and there were more than 20 kidnap-for-ransom cases alone, based on media reports and government figures.

However every nation has it's problems with kidnappings.....in today's world I would be more than leery of letting little girls be alone without adult supervision.

...38 cases of child abductions in Metro Manila last year.

Metro Manila has approximately 12 MILLION residents...

It is a small percentage compared to the population. Of course, any child taken is too many! But, there are also many cases of father/mother abductions which make the numbers larger than reality.

I will CONTINUE to enjoy my life here with some of the nicest, friendliest people in the WORLD!

I have noted previous posts you’ve written about your love for the your home and people in the Philipines. You’ve obviously found a place to call your own and prefer it over the USA. Each to his own as some say.

But I’m American and prefer staying right here in my own country....loving it and it’s people. ..warts and all.

Too many warts now. I, too, am an American by birth. BUT, I do not recognize the country as being anything like the place where I was born and raised. It has left me, not the other way.

I was born in Wilmington, NC to a US Navy career man. I lived from California to Cuba (Gitmo), from where my dad retired in 1963. I finished High School in Wilmington, and went into the Navy for a 2 year stint in the Reserves (rather than 2 years in rice paddies!) in 1966. I saw much change in just the two years of my brief Navy time (66-68).

Today, it is unrecognizable as anything like the free country I knew. The topic here is about those 2 little girls, but I remember leaving home on my bike early in the morning, and if I came home too soon, Mom would be wondering what's wrong. We were safe and secure knowing that EVERYBODY's mom was watching over us all.

If we erred, it was seen and corrected by the nearest one. There was a sense of community, and it DID take the village for it to work properly.

Today, there are so may selfish people around and it seems that nobody even knows much about the people next door. It is not the same here. My neighbors drop by and we sit and talk on my front porch. I will share a bottle of Johnny Red (438Ph Pesos, $10US for 3/4 ltr) or Litro of Tanduay Dark Rhum (for 86PhP/$2). Some of them are Filipino, some Germans, some Americans, but we all share a sense of community/comraderie.

Stay there. I won't miss you... or any other the other poor souls Waiting for Godot*!

"Act I

The play opens with Estragon struggling to remove one of his boots, giving up, and muttering, "Nothing to be done." Vladimir takes up the thought and muses on it. Estragon claims that he spent the night in a ditch and was beaten by unknown assailants. He finally succeeds in removing the boot, but looks inside and finds nothing; he later removes his second one. Bickering and bantering, the pair discusses whether they should repent. This leads to Vladimir's pondering about the two thieves crucified alongside Jesus Christ, and the strange fact that only one of the Four Evangelists mentions a thief being saved. All the while, Estragon struggles to maintain sufficiently preoccupying conversation, and Vladimir heckles him for his lack of conversational skills. Estragon suddenly decides to leave but Vladimir tells him that they must stay and wait for Godot—a segment of dialogue that repeats often throughout the play. Unfortunately, the pair cannot agree on whether or not they are in the right place, or that this is the right day for their meeting with Godot. They only know that they are supposed to wait for someone named Godot at a tree and there is indeed a leafless one nearby. ...
