Went to bed last night at midnight after returning with my son from the Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, CA where we watched Rico Abreau win the 54th Johnny Key Classic Sprint Car Race. He's won 17 events this summer.
Slept right through the earthquake (we're on the SF Penin), but our dog was going nuts about 4 AM. Lots of friends here felt it.
The 22 year old Abreau was incredible last night, too.

I was in Fairfield during the 1989 Loma Prieta quake. It was scary for sure.

Stay safe. . .this may just be the beginning. Early this morning as in around midnight I posted to the following thread and just before hitting the submit button I erased my comment "California may be overdue for an earthquake" that was in response to the blatant murder of innocent life. God will not be mocked regarding our unGodly decisions in this country. Our hedge of protection is eroding big time.

Glad you’re ok.
I have a friend in Davis that I can’t get in touch with.
How far is Davis from the epicenter?

Why anyone would live on a fault line is beyond me. Let alone the state full of morons.
At least we have days notice for a hurricane. All battened down properly and anyone can survive with no damage.
Plus no state income tax, R governor etc.....
And even a gun mfgr (Kel-tec) made in FL, guaranteed for life. Don’t even know my little 380 is in my pocket.

That was who crossed my mind when I wrote the headline. Something close to “Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On by Jerry Lee Lewis” Another one would be “Tossin’ and Turnin’ by Bobby Lewis (no relation, I think).

The Epicenter was in Napa, so Davis Ca. is about 45 miles away, I believe.

It woke me with what seemed like a strong north to south or vice versa shaking...or that could have been the direction I was trembling in....
No Damage. In San Anslemo CA just North of S.F.

Well, sometimes it isn’t so readily apparent until later.
There’s a buried trace fault two miles west of my present location.
When we had that april earthquake in Plattesburgh a couple years back, it shook the trace fault here pretty good.
Weird.
But, NY isn’t “geologically active” as they say.
