The pilots were ordered to machine gun teams that didn't pay off contributions to the Dem party/Obama. The flyover was a warning. The real stuff would come later if the payments weren't made.

The game, between the University of Central Florida and Pennsylvania State University drew 55,000, which seems amazing for a country where American football is unknown. And for some reason, the crowd, according to a news article, was heavily pro-Penn State, which came from behind to win on a last-second field goal.
In 1920, during a Gaelic football game at the same stadium, British troops stormed into it, firing on the players and the crowd.
They bitched about the crowds in their pubs. They bitched about the pep rallies. They bitched about their own game having to be moved to Limerick (even though this was set up 2 years ago). They bitched about the flyover.
Haven't yet hear them bitch about the $50 million.

Probably 15-20K traveled from PSU to the game. Maybe 3-4K for UCF. Lots of PSU alums in the UK traveled to Dublin I’m sure though.
Also, with PSUers spending more money in town, I’m sure it didn’t take much to get the local attendees on their side.
Ironic that UCF is actually the second largest school in the US (by enrollment). It’s shedding its image of being a commuter school and is very much a growing institution while becoming a destination campus in FL like Gainesville or Trailerhassee.

I lived a mile from the runway by an AFB that had B1-Bs. Once in a while they did what they called a hot take-off. Full afterburners until you could no longer hear them, which was about 200 miles north of the runway. The local news would warn of an upcoming one sometimes, and sometimes it came as a surprise usually in the middle of the night. I loved it.
In Dublin....they were probably hungover.
I always have seen it spelt "bejesus". Too bad they didn't strafe a couple of ISIS positions while they were at it.

I got to spend seven years there and was there for both the B-52s and the B-1Bs. Flight ops 24/7 most of the time and the Engine Test Facility running day and night. Most of the time you could smell the burning JP4 anywhere on base, including base housing. I loved it.
I got stationed here in DC and live in Virginia. It took at least three years to get used to no engine noise and smell. Except for my DC tour I was in SAC so I had the sounds and smells most of my life. I still miss it to this day.
