Laws are for your masters, not for you.
That is why they only apply to you and not your masters.
That is why a crime against your masters, like defying their arbitrary disarmament laws, is treated more seriously than a crime against another person.
A federal judge in Colorado just ruled that laws don’t need to make sense or contribute in any way to the public good to be upheld.

He got axed by the NFL today when TMZ released the inside elevator footage, I wonder if she stays with him now that he won’t be bringing home that paycheck.

$50 says she’s gone by the end of next summer.

You aren’t the only one. Allegedly the governor of Main, among others, is boycotting the NFL

Isn’t there a 49er player who was still in uniform yesterday who has been charged too?

Ray McDonald was arrested, but has not yet been charged. Due to the presumption of innocence afforded by our legal system, the 49ers are waiting for the legal process to run its course before acting. It would be unjust to impose a suspension before knowing if he is guilty of the act of which he is accused. As far as I know, McDonald has not yet admitted to any wrongdoing, whereas Rice admitted to the act and was caught on video.

Actually, The Baltimore Ravens released him.

They did the right thing when the evidence came out today.

We will see what the NFL does now, I’m guessing 1 year suspension. If they don’t, we will see what low rent organization picks him up.

"The Ravens, who had not previously disciplined Rice in any public way, announced Rice’s release on their Twitter account Monday afternoon. The league, which had been widely criticized for not penalizing Rice more strongly, has now indefinitely suspended him."

The Ravens released Rice prior to the NFL action.

Also the nytimes text is incorrect as the Ravens weren’t allowed to punish Rice, since the NFL had already punished him. That’s in the collective bargaining agreement.
