I am downloading now the ISO. I will put it in a virtual window using Oracle VM VirtualBox if possible. Another 32 minutes to go to finish the download.
I have been appalled at the number of features of a Window 8.1 cell phone that will not work at all unless "location awareness" is enabled on the phone. Giving the phone my zip code isn't enough. The phone insists on continually calculating my location on the planet to within a few yards.
So, I turned location awareness off. At least I think I did.
Window 8.1 > Windows 8.1
Bring back support for XP and change the name to Windows 9. Send me a million $.
You’re welcome Microsoft. We will both profit.
I installed Windows 10 32bit version in VmWare (Free)
It installed like Windows 7. No issues.
It look like Windows 7 with the Start Menu being the biggest difference. Otherwise it is 98% Windows 7.
Microsoft will make billions just making a few tweaks.
I could not get it installed in Oracles VirtualBox with the 32bit or the 64bit version. The guy at this site http://winsupersite.com also had some issues and suggested the 32bit version.
Is there an easy way to disable live tiles in Win 8 and Win 10? I really don’t care about live updates like that and it wastes system resources. On my Win 8.1 machines I have metro hidden with Classic Shell so I never see those tiles. I’m sure the system is still wasting resources on that even though I do not see it and just want ti disable it completely.
