There was a “Lock Up” episode with Mary Tyler Moore, right before she landed the role of Laura Petrie. She already had that exact hair/look, and it was weirdly surreal seeing her play a criminal (I think) or maybe just involved in some kind of criminal situation. I think it’s one of the public-domain episodes that circulates fairly widely.

I remember an episode of “Boston Blackie” entitled “Trailer Park Showdown.” Some escaped con kidnaps a housewife or something, and then takes her to some trailer park. Circa 1952 or so. Blackie comes to the rescue, of course. But it was all shot in some modest suburban neighborhood, and then switches to a somewhat low-income trailer park. Corny melodramatics (the excon villain could have probably passed for a villain in the “Superman” series), but the episode sure captured the visual atmospherics of the era.

At the end Number Six is offered the post of Number One, but declines and returns home.

And the door on his home made the exact same sound of the door on his “cell” on the island. Ponder that one for a little bit.

I’ve heard it as
“those who can’t teach - administrate”
“those who can’t administrate - run for office.”

If you were to choose THE drama to use as an example to show our friends here the superiority of the TV shows we’re watching, which one would you choose? This would be my choice, My love from another star.

ATTN: FReepers.. if you want to see an entertainment industry that knows how to entertain without crawling through the mud, give KDrama a try.

That is a very good choice. I heard ABC is going to make an American version... I do not look forward to how bad they mess it up.

I would also offer “You’re Beautiful” or “Secret Garden” as someone’s first K-drama

“Jerry Van Dyke’s mother is reincarnated in an antique automobile.”

I loved that show.

Your list of wacky tv show plots is great and it does demonstrate that Jane the Virgin is a lot more plausible than these beloved shows.

Oh, yeah, and Gilligan’s Island, that was pretty silly too!

Marilyn Munster was Lily’s niece. She came from the “plain” side of the family, you know.

Isn't virginity funny?

Our biggest problem is the media. They make the Democrat regime possible. Imagine if people saw ultrasounds on TV, nevermind abortions; if people heard anything about school choice, etc.

That's why we have to REPLACE the media with our own conservative media.

but ends up pregnant after her emotionally unstable doctor accidentally inseminates her.

(1) Plot Plausibility Factor = 0

(2) Living proof Televison is running out of ideas.

"...the rest of the movie was a loony Dan Ackroyd faux-occult disaster..."

But who could forget the name of the occult group: PAGAN.

Which of course stands for "People Against Goodness And Normacly".
