Canadians Don’t Really Care About Climate Change

In a story by Margo McDiarmid—apparently now the “Environment Reporter” at CBC News (Canada’s state broadcaster)—the findings of a recent survey on the views of Canadians towards climate change are reported. The survey results, which can be obtained directly online, were done by the Environics Institute for Survey Research in partnership “with the David Suzuki Foundation, which helped to pay for the cost of this year’s research.”

Well hell. If the david suzuki foundation is involved, all the info is obviously based on facts. Er, maybe not so much. In invested groups, the concern is up. For folks with half a brain (sorry gabby, you're not included) it pretty obvious that this is a load of BS. Correct temp. Correct mean sea level. Glaciation and subsequent warm periods. Yup. I'm a denier and proud of it.

P.S. We are getting some Sierra rain and snow in the higher elevations right now.

And PBS is STILL saying global warming threatens polar bears:

"Polar bears need the ice to hunt and as it vanishes they can no longer reach their traditional prey. With each Arctic summer providing more water and less ice, some polar bears are forced to try their luck with seaweed, birds, and Arctic char."

After 80+ Canadian winters, my parents are sick and tired of waiting for global warming. With last year’s deep freeze and a predicted repeat this year, they’re spending the winter in Mexico to soak up a little “local warming”.
