When Olivia Papa signed up for a new health plan last year, her insurance company assigned her to a primary care doctor. The relatively healthy 61-year-old didn't try to see the doctor until last month, when she and her husband both needed authorization to see separate specialists.

She called the doctor's office several times without luck.

"They told me that they were not on the plan, they were never on the plan and they'd been trying to get their name off the plan all year," said Papa, who recently bought a plan from a different insurance company.

I'm sure this was totally unexpected by the Obamacare architects.

Paging Johnathon Gruber...

It sounds like Pelosi and her band of ‘RATS were right. ObamaCare is “wildly popular” as long as you don’t get sick or injured.

Gruber’s going to be in the hot seat on Tuesday. It will probably be very hard for him NOT to come off as an arrogant SOB.

The important thing is that the peasants pay the tribute. Whether they get anything in return is of no consequence to the crown.

Oh Well. Pay-up moonbats, I don’t give a damn if you have a doctor or not.

The IRS is much more calculating than your doctor you bunch of peasant asswipes.

These impudent, arrogant doctors need to be taught a lesson about who they really work for. There are three possible choices:

(1) Their patients
(2) Themselves
(3) The Glorious and Benevolent State and its Beloved Leader

Only one of those choices is correct.

That’s pretty funny. They’ve (or we’ve) been paying premiums for a yr and they couldn’t have seen a doctor if they wanted to because they didn’t have a doctor.
Yeah give me some more of that ‘healthcare’. Lol

I am asking respectfully — not trying to argue, here — why are the doctors arrogant and impudent? I honestly didn’t get that at all. What did I miss here?

I read this same story on another site and read that the doctors weren’t getting compensated very well under Medicaid and Obamacare.

My primary care doctor and spouse (the spouse is one of my specialists) are mid-career but are putting kids through college.

I guess they need the money.

Maybe I did miss something. Thanks.

It was an unfunny joke. I was providing the Obama Administration's view, not my own. Obama regards physicians as state servants, and regards physician services as perks offered by the state. Very few physicians went to medical school to become providers of government perks.
